Smart joins as Worldwide Managing Director on GMI

New York, New York – October 31, 2011 -- Saatchi & Saatchi announces that Brent Smart is joining its flagship New York office as Worldwide Managing Director on General Mills (GMI). Smart (37) will sit on Saatchi & Saatchi’s Worldwide Executive Board and be responsible for driving collaboration amongst all Publicis Partnership Agencies to deliver powerful, integrated communications and connections with GMI consumers across all platforms. He joins from BBDO San Francisco where he was Managing Director.

Smart’s extremely successful career spans over 15 years; the past five of which were spent running BBDO agencies. He was most recently Managing Director of BBDO San Francisco where he led the Agency’s efforts on the West Coast. Smart previously served as Managing Director at Colenso BBDO New Zealand, where he led an Agency that won numerous Cannes Lions including the BBDO network’s first integrated Lion.
